Started in 2014 by London based sound recordist and engineer Paul Cameron. SoundCatchers was born from a desire to never let the client down and always have a sound recordist or engineer available. Making it the hassle free go-to for producers and production coordinators when organising sound recording. Now with a core team of 15 passionate sound engineers and many other freelancers on our books we cover approximately 2000 shoots a year. We are lucky enough to provide sound for some the biggest production companies in the country. Our aim is to provide world class audio with a boutique experience.

Paul

Founder & Location Sound Recordist

With over 18 years experience in the industry, across all genres, Paul’s passion for sound has never wained. He has worked on some of the biggest sporting events in the world and some of the more challenging shoots SoundCatchers attracts. Always up for a challenge and keen to learn new skills and techniques.

Currently he splits his time between providing technical support to the team, office duties and when possible out on location doing shoots.

Outside of work you’ll find Paul wrestling his 3 young kids or making electronic music in his man cave.

Jess

Bookings Manager

With over eight years of experience in the events and entertainment industry, Jess expertly navigates the complexities of managing talent and event logistics.

Jess is the glue at SoundCatchers and makes sure everything runs smoothly. She is the person to contact if you need a shoot covered or if you need to hire any equipment.

When she is not in the office you can see her at a wrestling show or on the dance floor.

George

Location Sound Recordist & Supervisor

George is always up for a challenge, finding himself on some of Soundcatcher's more complex shoots. He's travelled around the world to work on a variety of projects, from hard hitting documentaries, to TV shows, commercials and viral entertainment for branded content, priding himself on being able to slot comfortably into crews both old and new.

When not behind the faders, George can be found playing board games and talking people into submission about the latest audio tech.

 

Chris

Location Sound Recordist, Post Sound & Design

Having worked globally as a sound engineer, both in the studio and behind the board touring sell out shows Chris is also a multi-instrumentalist. Chris’s work now focuses on location sound, editing and design for the film, television and music industries. Chris has an abundance of knowledge and experience, and is our lead expert for music shoots.

On location or in a studio Chris is calm, conciseness and always striving for the best sound. 

Richard J

Location Sound Recordist & Events Engineer

Rich has over 10 years experience engineering across festivals & theatres, to recording some of the worlds most renowned musicians. Now with SoundCatchers he is out on the road doing the job he loves, recording in a huge variety of situations for TV, Radio & the Digital space.

Usually found out on his bike, renovating his camper or strapping a giant fan to his back and jumping off steep slopes.

Alex

Location Sound Recordist

Having graduated from the famous NFTS Alex is one of the rising stars in Soundcatchers. A favourite of sports producers Alex does a lot of football shoots up and down the country. He also does a lot of TV, social and branded content. Alex is a very versatile sound recordist, calm under pressure and capable of handling any shoot assigned to him.

 

Duncan

Location Sound Recordist

With a decade’s experience working as a commercial sound recordist Duncan has worked with A list talent across 4 different continents. A favourite with fashion producers he works on shoots varying from high end fashion to drama, social media and documentary.

When not in film studios Duncan can be found in recording studios playing drums and recording bands for various passion projects.

Bahar

Location Sound Recordist, Singer

Bahar is always up for a challenge! She’s travelled nationally to work on projects, from hard hitting documentaries, to TV shows, commercials and viral entertainment for branded content. Priding herself on being approachable and able to slot comfortably into crews, Bahar is highly sought after by producers.

When not catching those sounds- she’s usually on the beach with her dog, or you’ll find her writing, performing, and occasionally singing backing vocals for artists such as Boy George.

Simone

Location Sound Recordist, Musician, Producer

Simone has over a decade of experience in the industry working across Europe on TV, commercials and branded content. Simone prides herself on always bringing the right energy to jobs and being able to create a safe place for crew and cast.

When off set Simone spends her time writing and producing music in her studio in Brighton. She is also a photographer and filmmaker and understands the importance of both sounds and visuals.

 

Patrizio

Live Audio Engineer and Location Sound Recordist

With 10 years experience doing live sound engineering for some of the biggest venues in London, you are in good hands with Patrizio. A very versatile sound engineer, Patrizio also does sound production for gaming, post sound mixing and location sound recording.

Brooks

Location Sound Recordist

From recording on mountain tops, to airport runways, Wembley Stadium, or Gary Oldman’s dressing room - Brooks has recorded on location there. He’s worked on recording projects in the world of TV, film and social media, including sport, documentaries, commercials, branded content, drama and live productions.

When he’s not working, he can be found down at Brisbane Road supporting his beloved Leyton Orient.

Matthew

Location Sound Recordist

Matt often works on international shoots across Europe and America. Matt has worked on numerous documentaries, sport, branded content pieces and commercials. He covers a lot of golf shoots, is a real people person and always up for a laugh.

When away from set, you’ll probably find Matt playing hockey, listening to indie music or enjoying a pint at the pub

 

Ollie

Location Sound Recordist & Post Sound Mixer

A Sound Recordist for Film & TV, Ollie likes working in a team of creatives, talking about audio tech and putting his abilities and kit to good use.

As a keen musician and music producer, he is passionate about all aspects of sound. From building audio equipment to creating foley and producing sound design,

Aroa

Location Sound Recordist

One of our newest recruits, Aroa joins the team with a passion for film and a continuous drive to learn new skills. Her commitment to contribute positively and helping out whenever needed makes her a valuable team player. Fluent in Spanish, Aroa is also eager to travel and work in Spanish-speaking countries.

Nick

Location Sound Recordist

An experienced sound recordist with over a decade in audio, specialising in dialogue recording across diverse environments—from glaciers to football stadiums. Known for adaptability and a collaborative approach, he has worked across TV, branded content, and commercials, including an interview with Prince Harry.

Excelling under pressure, he consistently delivers top-quality sound with a friendly attitude. Outside of work, he enjoys travelling, seeing live music, and putting on his dancing shoes!

Richard Two

Location Sound Recordist

With a previous life in Sound Engineering and Songwriting for musical artists, Richard has spent the past 6 years on location shooting Documentaries such as Battle Of The Baddest and Ring Of Fire for Netflix as well as various viral campaigns and major movie junkets.

When not behind the mixing desk, he may well be spotted skating around London or composing for documentaries found on DAZN.
