When Alex first joined Soundcatchers it was clear that he is a rising star in the industry. Having graduated from the famous NFTS and now with 6 years of experience under his belt, Alex has applied his multifaceted knowledge of kit and best practices to ensure that he executes immaculate sound on every project. Alex covers the majority of our shoots up North, including TV, social, and branded content. However, he is most well known amongst sport producers for his ability to navigate the many variables that come with football and golf shoots. Alex’s versatility, adaptability, and calm demeanour under pressure, makes him capable of handling any shoot thrown his way.

Why do you sound record?

“I’ve always thrived in the fast-paced world of television and live sport. With a strong passion for both sound and sport, I’m driven by the opportunity to help storytelling through audio, whether that’s the energy of a stadium or the intimate words of a top athlete in a documentary.

Being on the ground with high-profile sports professionals, I enjoy the unique access my role provides, capturing moments that bring audiences closer to the action. I take pride in the detail and precision sound requires, and I’m motivated by the lasting impact it has with the viewer.”
