John plays a pivotal role in our day to day operations. His Scottish flair, team first mentality, and organisational skills, makes him an ideal fit to manage the needs of our kit room and team. As an SAE graduate in audio engineering, and having worked for over 10 years in the live music sector and events production, John brings ample knowledge and experience to Soundcatchers. On top of production location sound recording and post sound mixing, John ensures that our team goes to each job with confidence knowing that they have everything they need to succeed. Whether he is on set or in the kit room, John’s reliability, relaxed disposition, and attention to the smallest of details, means you can guarantee that our kit will be in tip top condition for every shoot.

Why do you sound record?

“As a kid I would play around with old tape recorders and sound FX CDs around the house, so naturally I moved on to music production and sound in general.”
