With over 25 years experience in the industry, across all genres, Paul’s passion for sound has never waned. He has worked on some of the biggest sporting events in the world and many of Soundcatchers’ most technically challenging shoots. Paul is always looking for ways to enhance his sound recording and is invested in staying up to date with the evolving innovations of his field. He is up for any challenge and still loves learning new skills and techniques.

As a freelance sound engineer Paul was having to reach out to other sound recordists to help accommodate the number of work requests coming in. As a result, Soundcatchers’ naturally grew into the business that it is today. Now with our mindset focused on growth, Paul is dedicated to discovering new ways to expand and exploring all opportunities. As a business owner, Paul splits his time between providing technical expertise to the sound team and supporting all the moving parts happening in the office. However, he is still happiest doing what he loves and is frequently out on shoots providing location sound in the UK and internationally!

Why do you sound record?

“I like that every job is different and no two days are the same. I thrive on problem solving and technical challenges. It's a job that never gets boring so that’s pretty cool.”
